Video Premiere: Agar Agar – ‘Fangs Out’

Agar Agar show their wild side with newest single ‘Fangs Out’, taken from their debut album to be released on Cracki Records in Autumn 2018. The accompanying video for ‘Fangs Out’ plunges viewers into a nocturnal outing alongside actress Garance Marillier, who was nominated for “Best female newcomer“ at the 2016 César Awards (French Oscars equivalent) for her performance in ‘Grave’. Directed by William Laboury, the tale of ‘Fangs Out’ is sat somewhere between a virtual world and reality. Wandering through two worlds on a long summer’s night, the actress’ adventurous crossing leaves us in the early hours of the morning with this new, complex and powerful single set to a modern fantasy backdrop.

Following the success of their fully sold-out European tour and only days away from their first North American tour, the band will be performing at a sold-out gig in Paris’ Cigale on March 1st. They’ll be returning to the French capital on December 6th to bend the legendary floorboards of the Olympia and celebrate the release of their album. Clara and Armand produced their first track in Paris, for the retirement of their art school’s librarian, thus beginning the collaboration which brought them to post a few recordings on Soundcloud, including their debut single ‘Prettiest Virgin’ in April 2016. They remained shrouded in mystery for the release of their first EP ‘Cardan’ which came out in September 2016. The silky & roaring voice of Clara perfectly matches Armand’s drum machine and their 90’s synths. Coupled with hammering acid basslines, the tandem delivers an ‘early warp’ sound between Daniel Malaso, Black Devil Disco & Ariel Pink.
