Backstage at PALMWINE IceCREAM Spring/Summer 2026 – MUSE

At this year’s Berlin Fashion Week, PALMWINE IceCREAM has dazzled us with its latest collection, MUSE! This season’s offering is undeniably one of our favourites from the Berlin Fashion Fest. We absolutely adore it! Founder Kusi Kubi takes us on a vibrant journey that builds upon last season’s deeply personal AW25 collection, LIFE MOODBOARD, which delved into themes of time, transformation, and memory. MUSE! is a luminous tribute to the indomitable spirit of women, celebrating their integral roles in life, creativity, and community.

MUSE! A Celebration of Women, Craft, and Nature

Drawing inspiration from the remarkable women who surround Kubi in both London and Accra, this collection features a more intimate focus on wear. Expect silhouettes that are sensual, playful, and wonderfully celebratory, transitioning from the more relaxed shapes of AW25 to fitted forms that radiate warmth and energy befitting the season.

Craftsmanship remains at the core of PALMWINE IceCREAM’s identity. Each piece is meticulously handmade in Ghana, showcasing a deep respect for tradition while embracing innovation. A standout this season is the naturally dyed leather sourced from northern Ghana, meticulously coloured using tree bark and sun-drying techniques honed through generations. We also see the introduction of handwoven cotton, airy organza, and sumptuous deadstock fabrics.

Fashion-forward pieces like a striking chainmail dress and a sculptural leather and mesh ballerina corset, crafted over a meticulous two-day process, capture the essence of the collection. Other highlights include green naturally dyed leather pants and hand-painted giraffe-print boots. This season also redefines accessories, with symbolic earrings depicting figures of women, spoons, and houses, alongside wooden bangles and hand-painted leather bags that add layers of artisanal charm.

The colour palette is equally mesmerising, drawing from earthy, clay-based tones—rich browns, dark burgundy, vibrant oranges, and verdant greens—evoking nature’s splendour and reflecting the collection’s outdoor runway setting, adorned by lush vegetation that honours African landscapes amidst urbanisation.

Kicking off its second runway show in Berlin, SS26 reaffirms PALMWINE IceCREAM’s commitment to continuity, connecting last year’s homage to Kusi’s mother, the Berlin-awarded AW25 collection dedicated to a late friend, and this vibrant ode to womanhood.

And let’s not forget the behind-the-scenes magic—SHIN JEONG HOON went backstage just for us, weaving his spell for this unforgettable showcase. Founded by Kusi Kubi, PALMWINE IceCREAM is a fashion label that harmonises diverse influences, cultural emotions, and audacious creativity, bridging the vibrant landscapes of London and Accra.

Roots in Ghana

After returning to Ghana in 2018, Kubi found inspiration in Accra’s Kantamanto Market and the rich traditions of his homeland, giving rise to PALMWINE IceCREAM in 2020.

MUSE! is more than just a collection; it’s a vibrant celebration of the essence of womanhood, creativity, and the natural world. We can’t wait to see where PALMWINE IceCREAM will take us next!
