For the October drop from the 12×12 sneaker program, Southern California-based global lifestyle brand UGG® looked to famed Japanese artist Tadanori Yokoo for inspiration.
The capsule, which features the CA805 x Yokoo Sneaker and several apparel pieces, is available for purchase since October 9th. Introducing monthly themed designs in the year 2020, by way of unique, limited-edition drops, 12×12 celebrates the brand’s various sources of inspiration – spanning art, nature, and beyond – to paint a picture of California, seen through the UGG® lens.
Paying homage to Tadanori Yokoo, UGG® has updated its CA805 Sneaker with four colourful prints using patterns and motifs from Yokoo’s iconic Self-Portrait and Wonderland II.
The CA805 x Yokoo Sneaker and apparel will be sold in limited quantities at ugg.com and select UGG® retail locations: Michigan Avenue in Chicago and Powell Street in San Francisco.
The work of world-renowned artist Tadanori Yokoo is showcased in prestigious museums across the globe including the MoMA (New York) and MOCA (Los Angeles).
