Ukrainian Hip-Hop sensation Alyona Alyona announces solo-tour

Ukrainian Hip-Hop sensation Alyona Alyona is due to play solo concerts in Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands next month, presented by KALTBLUT. Her artistic journey began in 2019, despite her involvement in Hip-Hop for over a decade with her inaugural video, “Рибки,” going viral in Ukraine upon its release in October 2018. The young kindergarten teacher hailing from a small town near Kyiv swiftly became a hip-hop sensation overnight.

Alyona Alyona expresses her rhymes in her native Ukrainian language astonishing Ukrainian and international audience with the way her words effortlessly flow, hiss, roll, groove, and surge. There’s an immense, dynamic energy set to dark, pulsating beats. Her videos, where she proudly dances as the street’s queen in front of her hometown Baryshivka’s housing projects or portrays herself as a matriarch in a dystopian world, have garnered millions of viewers.

In her music, she opts for a modest approach, eschewing extravagance and ostentation, delving into portraying women beyond conventional beauty stereotypes or young adults lamenting the state of affairs in Ukraine and contemplating leaving the country. She’s a grounded pop artist, having previously worked at a supermarket checkout and as a make-up saleswoman before transitioning to a career in education and psychology. Now, she conveys her informative and often humorous message not as a preschool teacher but as a potent rap performer.
