Through an uncompromising collision of sound, performance art, and visual provocation, Italian contemporary artist Desirée Tintori (DESIRA) steps into the frame with AMARA, an ongoing multidisciplinary project that interrogates the body as both an object of control and a vessel of radical transformation. Captured in a striking new editorial lensed by photography duo Matteo Strocchia & Marco Servina, the visual world of AMARA comes alive in high-contrast detail.
The imagery moves within sterile, clinical atmospheres punctuated by ritualistic gestures, staging the human form at the uncomfortable boundary where detachment collides with vulnerability. Rather than functioning as a standard editorial or conventional music release, the project operates as an interconnected audiovisual system across film, performance, sound, and still photography.
DESIRA’s practice consistently frames the body as a contested territory: modified, observed, consumed, and relentlessly reconstructed within contemporary, hyper-performative systems. Across these frames, Strocchia and Servina mirror that conceptual tension, balancing harsh lighting and clinical austerity with raw, visceral intimacy. The result is a sharp, cinematic exploration of beauty, bodily alienation, and the blurred lines between how we perceive ourselves and what we project into the world.
