“My name is Vale Verrico, and I’m a 22-year-old photographer based in West London. Forgoing university to pursue my passion, I’ve spent the past three years working in studios across London and now work full-time as a headshot photographer in Angel. Photography has always been my outlet for self-expression, and while I’m still discovering my niche, I often find myself drawn back to dark, punk-inspired themes—a reflection of my lifelong love for this aesthetic.
This shoot draws inspiration from the love story in Blade Runner: the hunter falling for a replica, despite the inherent danger. The concept felt particularly relevant in today’s world, where technology and AI have become deeply embedded in every aspect of life. To bring this vision to life, I experimented with incorporating AI-generated elements into the editing process, blurring the lines between the real and the synthetic. This creative choice mirrors the narrative of Blade Runner, exploring themes of love, identity, and the uneasy coexistence of humanity and technology.”
