Another year, another ridiculously epic AVA Festival & Conference complete. For the third year running, AVA returned to its Belfast T13 home, this time across two days on the 2nd and 3rd of June 2017. For it’s first full weekend outing, the guys over at AVA really pulled out all the stops, creating a weekend packed full of conferences, talks, music and arts from a wealth of global and local artists. Performances included a rare Jeff Mills and Guillaume Marmin collaboration, Marcel Dettmann, Bicep, Fatima Yamaha Live, Rebekah Hybrid set, TinFoil Live and a host of local legends that descended across the vast Belfast warehouse space. On top of this, there was the return of the almighty Boiler Room, plus AVA’s all-important conference on the Friday, where Ableton, Pioneer, Native Instruments plus many educated on all areas of the music industry and technology. Check out the official photos below for a rundown on what went on.
I am blown away by this year. From the artists, the team, the sound, the music, the venue, the vibe and the atmosphere. The energy was real and you could feel it the second you walked in. There were moments I walked around and I truly felt overwhelmed with happiness – to see such amazing talent, and the crowd really loving it. It was a big jump for us to move to two days – and we are ecstatic that we did it – roll on 2018!
