With their Spring/Summer 2027 collection, presented at MOA Berlin during Berlin Fashion Week, IMPARI has officially initiated a breathtaking rebirth. Titled ANIMA, Latin for soul, breath, and life force, the collection is a beautiful, progressive exploration of the idea that life extends far beyond the human body, leaving an imprint on the objects and environments we create, use, and pass on.

We absolutely love the intellectual and physical depth of this new chapter. Rooted in an engagement with the work of philosopher Achille Mbembe, specifically The Terrestrial Community: Technology, Animism and the Earth as Utopia, IMPARI completely shatters the traditional divisions between nature and technology, the organic and the constructed. For IMPARI, innovation isn’t about fleeing from our origins; it’s about breaking existing systems apart, examining the pieces, and bringing them back together in entirely new ways.

Using animism as an underlying lens, garments are treated not as passive objects, but as living carriers of process, memory, and transformation. This translates onto the runway through a masterful process of disassembly and reconstruction. Softness collides with resistance, organic forms meet engineered digital processes, and traditional techniques enter a direct dialogue with modern creation. Rather than hiding these stark contrasts, IMPARI leaves them beautifully visible, turning the garments into a physical environment shaped by movement, sound, performance, and technology.
Photographer Shin Jeong Hoon was backstage to capture this monumental shift for the brand. His stunning backstage photography perfectly documents the raw energy, complex textures, and altered structures of the collection up close, providing an intimate look into the wider creative world of IMPARI’s exciting next chapter.
