The project is inspired by Ransom Riggs’ ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ book series. A magical world built on dusty photographs found at old flea markets. The frames in this series come from a blend of analog and digital techniques, referencing both the photographs featured in the books and cartes de visite – small, personal testimonies of time. A bridge between what is now and what once was.
Trapped in a time loop, the characters from the books live the same day over and over. We, in the present, keep returning to what came before us. The time loop keeps turning.
