Kabeaushé, the enigmatic force hailing from Nairobi but now based in Berlin, is captivating music lovers with their latest single ‘BANGUK’ off the highly anticipated sophomore album ‘HOLD ON TO DEER LIFE, THERE’S A BLACK BOY BEHIND YOU!’. The album, featuring ten mind-bending tracks, will drop on all streaming platforms via the esteemed Monkeytown Records on 10 November.

‘BANGUK’ is the third single to be released from the album, following the tremendous success of ‘THESE DISHES AIN’T GONNA DO THEMSELVES’ and ‘GO WITH GUT’. This extraordinary artist consistently delivers unique and experimental compositions, and ‘BANGUK’ is no exception. Originally crafted as a heart-pounding score for an upcoming film, the song was initially not meant to be included on the album. However, Kabeaushé couldn’t resist its seductive allure, deeming it “too silky” to be left out. Prepare yourself for a raw and unconventional musical journey that defies all expectations.

After last year’s breakthrough album ‘The Coming of Gaze’ on Nyege Nyege Tapes, Kabeaushé secured a coveted spot on the prestigious electronic imprint Monkeytown Records. The album was a thrilling flood of nostalgia-inducing party hip-hop, boasting clean sounds, infectious energy, and an overwhelming sense of joy. With their latest masterpiece, ‘HOLD ON TO DEER LIFE, THERE’S A BLACK BOY BEHIND YOU!’, Kabeaushé brings a newfound rawness, weirdness, and rave energy to their music. The artist’s alter ego, “the Shé,” adds an extra layer of wild performance energy, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Kabeaushé’s music still retains the ambitious brightness that was present from the beginning, but now it’s accompanied by sweat, fierceness, and an unbreakable bond between Kabeaushé and their global audience. Get ready for this explosion of talent to conquer the world.

Kabeaushé describes the full-length project as “dirty, incessant, rough around the edges, and wonky.” The album boasts powerful drums that will make you move, layered falsettos, catchy hooks, and thought-provoking lyrics. Instead of scrutinizing the lyrics, immerse yourself in the entire experience and you might just discover a piece of the magic that resonates with you. This album demands more than a simple two-step; it requires you to fully surrender yourself to the dancefloor. Don’t compare it to other albums, as it stands in a league of its own. Embrace it as it is and revel in the pure joy it brings.
