“My name is Alexis and I have been practicing analog photography for 6 years now, mostly in Reims where I live (the epicentre of the region where Champagne is produced). I met Lucas through a skater I encountered taking photos at the skatepark nearby. Boxing obviously seemed an interesting activity to document. As we got along I suggested the idea and he agreed to have me follow him during two training sessions. I was amazed at the aesthetic potential it displayed despite how violent and kinetic an effort the human body must bear during a fight.
This analog editorial was shot on a Nikon F2. A camera from the 70’s. The films used were rolls of Ilford HP5+.”
