Bricknasty Unveil Video for ‘the dom perignons’ Ahead of EP

Dublin-based collective Bricknasty have announced their latest EP, forever, arriving 6 November via FAMM. Positioned at a pivotal crossroads between a complex past and an expansive future, the announcement is spearheaded by the new single and video “the dom perignons.” Written over just a few weeks, the seven-track project represents the five-piece’s most direct, hook-driven body of work to date, stripping back structural complexity while doubling down on their signature sonic fluidity.

Where previous releases, from 2023’s INACRUELER to 2024’s XONGZ አስቀያሚ ጡብ and 2025’s AIM Award-nominated BLACKS LAW, established the band’s restless experimental instinct, forever asks what happens when that vocabulary is channelled into immediate, anthemic songwriting. As band member Fatboy succinctly puts it, the shift was about stripping away self-imposed intricacy to focus on instinct, noting that while they used to make the music rocket science, the process became far simpler once they leaned into writing nice riffs and memorable parts.

The result is a whirlwind that draws freely from dance, contemporary R&B, traditional Irish folk, jazz, and hip hop, trading over-complication for bigger choruses and sharper crescendos built specifically for live rooms. On latest cut “the dom perignons,” sweeping strings hover above early-2000s R&B textures and a shimmering electronic pulse, offering a luminous counterweight to the textured wooze of earlier summer teasers “bobinov” and “honey bee.”

This refined focus arrives after an explosive period of growth following BLACKS LAW, a record that earned acclaim across Rolling Stone UK, Dazed, The Observer, and CRACK for its raw confrontation of faith, addiction, and political disillusionment. Subsequent North American tours and major festival appearances at All Points East, Way Out West, and Forbidden Fruit directly transformed their creative process, inspiring a record engineered to move crowds instantly. Having shared stages with a vast spectrum of artists ranging from Coldplay at Croke Park to Kneecap, Nas, Ezra Collective, and André 3000, Bricknasty solidify their standing as one of Ireland’s most electrifying live acts by proving that simplicity and subversion can happily coexist.
