Editorial “Don’t Judge a Book From its Cover // Bright Future Youth” was taken in Vilnius with the amazingly creative young couple – Morta and Deividas. Morta lived and studied in Berlin and Paris, Deividas is a musician and producer! We discussed a lot about nowadays youth, their priorities, their hopes, their points of view. I was so glad to discover, that there are such brilliant young people!

“A satirical juxtaposition of vintage classics and Eastern Bloc street fashion, of juvenescence and the act of reading. It is an attempt to deconstruct the stereotypical symbols of Eastern Bloc fashion, to blur the boundaries between the aesthetic and the non-aesthetic and, most importantly, to recall the power of reading a book.

In times of the internet perpetually vomiting bits and pieces of scattered information, the act of picking up a book has immense value, much larger than simply becoming informed. By requiring presence, commitment and patience, it allows the reader to step into another person’s shoes – a space that births understanding and kills judgment.

While the world trembles, there is (still) hope. Old libraries collecting dust will become lost artefacts, slowly defragmenting into entropy, but only if we allow it”
