Founded in 2015 by Cem Dukkha and Nicolas Endlicher a.k.a. MCMLXXXV, Herrensauna has evolved from a small gathering among friends into one of Berlin’s most illustrious club nights. Renowned for its punk spirit, vibrant energy, and inclusive atmosphere, the party collective has garnered a dedicated following within the techno community. Herrensauna is known not only for its raw and industrial venues but also for its commitment to showcasing cutting-edge sounds from emerging local artists and internationally renowned DJs.
Driven by a shared passion for the scene, Source and Herrensauna have joined forces to create a collection of shoes that embody the unity, ecstasy, and grit of a sweat-soaked night on the dancefloor. Drawing inspiration from iconic Buffalo silhouettes, the two collaborative designs have been reimagined for the underground party context.
The Herrensauna Creep is a modern take on the classic Buffalo derby shoe, featuring the distinctive Buffalo Classic sole. It includes a detachable harness that seamlessly transitions from a sophisticated dinner ensemble to a wild night at the club. The Herrensauna Trakker, on the other hand, reworks the rugged Buffalo hiking boot with the recognizable Buffalo Classic sole. It features a metal etching of the Herrensauna logo at the back. In addition, an alternative variant, the Herrensauna Mud Trakker, presents a dirt-like texture, paying subtle homage to off-site illegal raves. To capture this essence, the moody campaign for the collection was produced by Berlin-based agency Taboo, with photographs by Thyago Sainte and styling by Aoife Adole Akue.
Whether you choose to dress up or embrace the freedom of self-expression at the club, the Buffalo Source x Herrensauna shoes are designed to accompany, protect, and elevate you from the first beat until the early dawn. As Herrensauna famously puts it, clothes may be optional, but Buffalos are not.
To celebrate the launch, Herrensauna and Source will host an immersive event in London on November 30th. This one-of-a-kind party will immerse attendees in the signature soundscape of Herrensauna, creating an unforgettable experience for all.
Starting from December 1st, the Buffalo Source x Herrensauna shoes will be available for purchase online and in-store via Buffalo Source, Herrensauna, and LNCC.
