Emanuele Leo is, first and foremost, an athlete. A leading figure in the Italian skateboarding scene during the 1990s and 2000s, he has navigated various disciplines and challenges over the years—always with the same determination, eventually finding his way to bodybuilding. Today, under the guidance of one of Italy and Europe’s top bodybuilding coaches, he is rigorously preparing for competition, with 2027 as his next major milestone.
It is precisely this deeply athletic identity that captivated photographer Filippo Thiella; together with stylist Stefano Guerrini, Thiella has featured him in a project dedicated to bodies that defy conventional fashion standards. In Emanuele, strength, discipline, and elegance converge. His beauty is powerfully masculine, forged through physical training and a life philosophy deeply rooted in sport, embracing its values and his own artistic vision of the discipline.

Stefano Guerrini
In 1998 he began writing in various fashion magazines, and also on the website of GQ Italia magazine, where he had his own blog, one of the first to talk about men’s fashion in Italy using this new medium, lepilloledistefano. He was fashion director of the bilingual quarterly magazine Label and then of the independent magazine MadeWithStyle. For many years he had a personal space on the Pitti Discovery Foundation website and was fashion editor-at-large of manintown.com, he also collaborated as a copywriter with various brands. He works/had worked as a freelance stylist for many online and print magazines. He has curated some fashion exhibitions and recently became a fashion cultural advisor for an important name in vintage in Italy. For many years, he was a fashion teacher in various institutes, in particular at IED in Milan, Florence and Cagliari.
