The „Confidential“ collection symbolizes change and the courage required to embrace the unknown, drawing inspiration from Ruben Nowak‘s time as an Air Force officer. It juxtaposes the rigid order and bureaucracy of military life with the drive for individuality and self-improvement. Breaking free from uniform constraints, the urge for personal expression becomes irresistible, challenging the secretive nature of military documents once carried in leather satchels.
The collection encourages taking bold steps toward personal fulfilment rather than succumbing to a life of repetitive bureaucracy. Visual influences include the book “Fashion. Army,” featuring unreleased US military garments, blended with soft fabrics like organza and design elements like shredded textures and strings, symbolizing the shift from being just a number to carving out a unique identity. Key details like faded identification numbers from Nowak‘s past underscore this transition, promoting the quest for individuality over conformity.
