“I’m a NY-based photographer with a background in painting and fine art. With this shoot, I had a concept based on composition and creating shapes and a distorted sense of space with multiple models and a wide-angle lens. I frequently encourage the models I work with to ‘get weird’ and push myself to take different angles. I also shot a few rolls of medium format film with my Hasselblad 500CM for this shoot.

The film, especially that camera, forces me to work slower and more thoughtfully fill the frame. I am always looking for other creatives to collaborate with. Jennifer and I met via Instagram and had been trying to work together for a while. Annika and I connected through a mutual colleague. She loved the concept and my idea of using a cloud background. She created a style mood board that nodded to the modern fashion of the ’60s combined with now. When it all came together I felt like we had an Alice in Wonderland meets Harry Potter sort of vibe that came to life. Aris, Ayelen and Brendan are all represented by Misfit models, run by Lauren Rutledge in NY. Her people never disappoint! Aside from being stunners, her roster is full of models with personality.”
