Delusional Lust on the Dancefloor: OURAA Drops Bouncy House Anthem “Mr Brown Eyes”

South-East London powerhouse OURAA is back with “Mr Brown Eyes,” an infectiously playful, groove-laden house track that leans unapologetically into obsessive romantic fantasy.

After a wave of acclaim for earlier cuts like “BABA,” “3am,” and “In The Kitchen”—which earned support from COLORS and BBC Introducing—the singer, songwriter, and vocalist dives headfirst into club-focused pop territory. “Mr Brown Eyes” bottles the exhilarating inner monologue of crushing hard on someone to the point of unhinged certainty.

“It’s sweet, playful and a little obsessive, living in that space between a crush and a full-blown delusion,” shares OURAA. “I think I just want people to enjoy the sweetness of really fancying someone and not being embarrassed by that concept. Sometimes it’s fun to live in your head a little… Embrace the delulu! My lyrics tend to explore quite deep and complex themes, so with this one, I just wanted to romanticise a situation and encourage people to let your imagination run wild!”

The production originated at Mixtape Madness HQ alongside Ishmatic Beats, who was experimenting with house rhythms for the first time. After a year-long hiatus, OURAA retrieved the stems and assembled an airtight team to flesh out the groove: bassist Benjamin Adjei laid down live, rolling low-end, Cardamo refined the mix, and veteran engineer Pete Maher provided the mastering finish.

A neurodiverse artist who discovered her creative voice through music early on, OURAA’s pedigree runs deep. From opening Nines’ Crop Circle 3 to providing vocals for Little Simz, The 1975, and P!NK, her transition into the electronic realm pairs vocal maturity with pure dancefloor release. “Mr Brown Eyes” is an effortless, four-on-the-floor invitation to let desire take over without second-guessing a thing.

“Mr Brown Eyes” by OURAA is out now on all streaming platforms via AWAL.
