Introducing Evelina Epp, a German fashion designer based in New York, whose work explores connection, distance, and the emotional language of clothing. Photography by Ashley Walia. The models are Blair Isufi and Jack Kalani. Makeup by Helen Tang.

Having moved frequently throughout her childhood and attended eight schools across three continents, Evelina Epp developed a heightened sensitivity to belonging, attachment, and human relationships. Though her life has been shaped by movement, Wuppertal remains her longest-standing home base, grounding her creative perspective in transition, distance, and human connection. Her design practice translates these experiences into sculptural silhouettes, body-framing forms, textile exploration, and draping, balancing emotional depth with precise garment construction.

The collection delves into the interconnectedness of life’s events, exploring how we find ourselves in the right place, at the right time, to meet the right person. It challenges the widely held notion of “wrong timing” and questions whether timing is truly the deciding factor in our lives. The collection features techniques such as knotting, braiding, and shibari to symbolise the invisible, energetic connections that bind us, emphasising that everything unfolds at its destined moment, whether in meeting or parting.
