“I’m Virginie Martinez, a photographer and filmmaker based between Lisbon and Paris, drawn to the fragile tension between movement and stillness. My work explores femininity in multiple faces, often exploring the space between strength and fragility. Dollcake Pirouette is a study of feminine metamorphosis, reality and reverie, how femininity can shift forms.
Through the language of motion, I try to capture the quiet poetry hidden beneath performance.”
