Berlin-based Ida Bux chases the lockdown blues away with her uplifting mix for the weekend. Ida Bux found her passion for (hard) electronic dance music in Cali, Colombia, where she was a regular at the infamous Convulxion parties. Moving to Berlin in 2016, she pretty quickly dived into the Berlin techno scene. From that moment she played regularly at different venues and festivals like Kulturhaus Kili (Berlin), Monis Rache festival and several clubs in Leipzig. In 2020 she founded Kolektiw Klanki, the first Sorbian all-female hip-hop crew.
“Before the lockdown, I used to play in clubs a lot of techno from the harder spectrum. I loved fast and concrete rhythms. During the lockdown, I started to feel drawn to more broken beats with a positive vibe to lift up my mood. This set represents this transformative shift. Playing these tunes makes me excited about summer when we all hopefully gather on the dancefloor again.”
