Exclusive Mixtape: Mixhell

Mixhell have just released a brand new EP, ‘Strong & Wrong’ on their Delayed Records imprint. The 3 track EP is a personal collection of work and touches on themes of poetry and the celebration of life. Showcasing their dynamic taste, Mixhell have enlisted a strong selection of producers to remix the EP including the now LA-based artist Craig Williams, Future Sound Of Antwerp, and Johnny Broke. To celebrate the release, the Brazilian husband and wife duo have created a beautiful hybrid mix which incorporates live vocals and recordings from their travels – including a scared temple recording from Vietnam. Spanning across an hour, the duo mixes their original work and improvised live jams with the likes of Tsuzing, Aphex Twin, Fango, Daphne Oram and Major Stref.

Producing and performing together since 2004, Mixhell, consisting of Laima and Iggor, started touring in Europe and US around 2007. After collaborating with many artists such as Diplo, MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize, 2manydjs and DJ Hell, they have built a solid underground career in electronic music. Moving from Sao Paulo to London in 2013 led Mixhell to work closely with Soulwax, recording and performing their most recent album ‘From Deewee’ as part of their 7 piece band and continue to perform with them at festivals across the globe this summer.
