The Gods of Voodoo Mix II is a tropical-tech delight from Greek electronic producer Pale Penguin. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, Pale Penguin has been djing for almost 25 years now, with an ever growing portfolio to show for it: appearances in several worldwide festivals and venues throughout Greece and Europe, warm-ups for artists like Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, DJ Mushroom (Massive Attack), he’s launched several labels, and formed on going collaboration projects and events.
Pale Penguin’s productions began with SCOPITONE CONSPIRACY and POZITRONIC RAY, from 2006 to 2012 he was a member of THE SCIENTIFICS-a Breaks/Tech project which have released singles and remixes for labels like V.I.M.Breaks, Erase, Basstard, Yellow Finger Communications, Warriorz Music, Relax and Groovebox, performed live throughout Greece, Italy and Germany, and being presented in many sites, radios, forums (BreakinAsia, Breakbeat Canada, Annie Nightingale Radio 1 Show, Ibreaks Radio, NSB Radio, Nu Breaks Radio etc). In early 2009 with Kid Stretch Pale Penguin formed the Disco-Breaks project PALE THE KID, focused mainly in Electrofunk/Disco-Breaks sound, releasing singles and several remixes. In the beginning of 2015 he formed the Bass project NYCTEUS and from the beginning of 2016 he’s doing Electronic Afrotropical productions together with Mr.Lookman as PALE PENGUIN & MR.LOOKMAN.
In early 2007, Pale Penguin launched V.I.M. (Very Important Music) Records, releasing quality Breaks, Tech-House, Electronica singles and albums by many international and Greek artists. In the beginning of 2011 he started the Afrotropical parties/events DISCOTECA INTERNACIONAL with great success until today, while together with Stama (ERASE RECORDS owner) he has launched the award winning DIABLO LOCO RECORDS. At the beginning of 2013 he has launched another quality label called DEEP GARNET RECORDS, a label focusing on the deeper side of Breaks with Deep and Futuristic breaks monthly releases and in 2014 he launched the Booty-Breaks label FANTOMAS RECORDS focused mainly on the Booty-Bass sound! In the beginning of 2015 together with Larry SKG and Forgivmi launched the hugely successful Electronic Afrotropical label SHANGO RECORDS.
