With a solid academic background in Advertising and PR, as well as Tourism, Paula found her true passion by immersing herself in visual creativity, aesthetic taste and image composition, always intrinsically linked to fashion.
Her quest for excellence led her to embark on the prestigious Master in Styling and Fashion Communication at IED Madrid, where she honed her skills and consolidated her unique vision in the field of styling. Paula has collaborated both with renowned stylists and on independent projects, showing her versatility and dedication to each project.
“Welcome to this series of editorials, a visual journey that explores the new dimensions of masculinity in the maritime world. This project is a passionate attempt to redefine the established canon and offer a space to those who may have felt excluded in this rugged terrain.
In these six fashion editorials, each dedicated to a brave young man navigating against the currents of tradition, we aim to dismantle the stigma attached to masculinity in the maritime context. We aim to offer a fresh and authentic look at those men who defy the stereotypes of the tough, heteronormative fisherman.
This project is a call for inclusion, to recognise and celebrate diversity beyond outdated stereotypes. By offering a space for these new masculinities, I hope that these photos will not only be an artistic expression but also a catalyst for change in the perception of masculinity in the maritime environment.
