Kloxii Li, pronounced kloh-shee-lee, hailing from Hunan and Los Angeles, breathes life into the musical canvas of her artistic haven in Berlin. She fearlessly redefines her world through the fusion of her heritage and sonic creations, seamlessly weaving together East-West identities with her bilingual vocalizations ranging from trip-hop to ambient soundscapes. She aims to connect with listeners on a profound level, revealing a contrast of newfound understanding of her roots while pushing the boundaries of her contemporary tonal palette.
Kloxii’s exceptional production talent was initially discovered by trip-hop artist Tricky, leading to a feature on his curated compilation Test of Time. This exposure opened doors to collaborations with esteemed labels including Lex Records, Houndstooth Records, Unguarded Berlin, and Modern Sky’s Sound Blanc. Ultimately, this journey culminated in the release of her remarkable debut album, Gentle Impermanence, on the Beijing-based bié Records.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Kloxii Li is a driving force behind AN(8)X Berlin, an East and Southeast Asian audiovisual collective.
