The struggle of not having a sleep in weeks and later hearing that living on instant soup in order to have money to buy paint. Having the ability to express such beauty while we live in such despair. This myth is reason number 1 (the most important one) why parents advise their kids not to study art because they’ve seen bad examples of artists struggling financially or living in poor conditions as a result of pursuing their art.
I came up with this concept where we artists are forced to switch our jobs by getting so-called “real-life jobs” and to basically show their inner moods and heaviness they carry with them because of the agony they have.” *Akansha Singh
