Heartbeat City creates a portrait of modern city life
At its centre is an archetypal figure. She evokes the mythology of the Parisian woman, effortlessly elegant, culturally attuned, and rebellious. As a symbol of the city itself, she moves through with confidence and purpose, at ease within the city’s rhythm. Yet there is also an ambiguity to her character; beneath the polished exterior lies a sense of restlessness and disconnection that mirrors the city.
Through her, Heartbeat City reveals the seductive allure of the city while revealing the uncertainty and desire that often pulse beneath its glittering facade.
