A KALTBLUT exlusive womenswear editorial. This editorial is a collaboration between Dutch shoe designer Amber Ambrose Aurele and branding agency NOON Concepts founded by Sarah Distel (photography) and Lianne Huizing (styling). The promising Amber is known for her beautiful, extraordinary handmade shoes and the use of experimental materials and shapes in each collection. Her Happiness Is Never Her Own is a story inspired by the young Ophelia (the tale Hamlet by Shakespeare) and her struggle of being truly happy without the influence of others. She is drowning in pain but still stays feminine and strong while being stuck between two different worlds. Inspired by the reflection of water its form was translated into the use of mirrors and plexiglas to represent the two sides of Ophelia and her search for happiness. Model is Annika Maria.
