Through photographic investigation, Rustom has explored ideas relating to gender and identity. With a BA (Hons) in Fashion Photography & an MA in Fashion Photography from London College Of Fashion, Rustom has been creating exciting work for industry professionals in Mumbai & London. His work has been featured in various fashion magazines, including Elle India, The Robb Report India, New Woman India, Rough UK, HUF Magazine, Vulkan Magazine, Flawless Magazine, Institute Magazine & Vogue Italia. His work has been displayed at the MA Fashion Photography show at Victoria House. Further, Rustom’s photographs have also been shown at the Strand Gallery, the Foyles Gallery & the Espacio Gallery as part of the Gay Photographers Network. In Mumbai, his work has been featured at The Focus Photography Festival as part of the Blow Up Bombay & Blind Boys Exhibit. Rustom looks to photographers like Mario Sorrenti, Lachlan Bailey, Nick Knight, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jean-Paul Goude, Martin Munkacsi and Helmet Newton as virtual mentors for his craft. Currently residing and photographing in Mumbai & London, Rustom continues to create articulate imagery that pushes boundaries and evokes reactions, just like he does!
