A KALTBLUT exclusive. Presented at Scemtovici & Benowitz Gallery during Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, SANNA PATRICK introduced Horizontal Rugby through a format that moved beyond the runway. Photography by Laurin Wüst. Models are Luisa Krause and Garvin Ochieng. Makeup Artist is Laura Schmid. Styling by Diana Moro. Words by Andra Cretu.

The collection unfolded through participation. Guests were invited to interact with the garments, to touch, to wear, to reinterpret them, creating their own stories for a brief moment. The space became active, shaped by movement, proximity, and presence.
At its core, Horizontal Rugby draws on the structure of the game, reflecting on bodies in relation to one another, on tension, resistance, and closeness. Here, that dynamic shifts into something more intimate. It speaks of love, but also of desire, of attraction, physical connection, and the charged space between bodies.
The garments follow this same logic. They respond to the body, to movement, to proximity, never remaining fixed, but changing through interaction and presence.
The same force that drives the game returns here as the persistence of love.
As creative directors, Sanna and Patrick Schubert describe it, rugby becomes more than a reference point. It reflects a dynamic in which people move together, support one another, and stay connected through both tension and closeness. In this sense, love follows a similar rhythm, shaped through interaction and effort, something you fight for and hold onto.
