As part of a social distancing experiment during the current COVID-19 pandemic, our UK fashion editor Karl Slater shot male model Ashley Charles Burr in isolation using Facetime and Whatsapp to create a zero contact story. A KALTBLUT exclusive.
Working with fashion stylist Lewis Robert Cameron, looks were selected and then digitally styled, sending all garments to Ashley with instructions in a virtual guide on how all pieces were to be worn. Digital fittings, posing and lighting concepts were achieved in the days running up to the shoot via video chat.
Using brands including ETRO, BELSTAFF, MOSCHINO, PRTTYBOI & HOMO and more, Slater captures a truly unique and intimate moment in history in the form of a personal conversation with Ashley and he does so from the comfort and safety of his own home. Demonstrating the need and ability to create, even in extremely challenging circumstances.
