Intervention at Berlin Fashion Week

Get ready to plug into ‘Intervention,’ the hyper-fresh series from the culture architects at Reference Studios. Berlin & Milan’s coolest comms agency, headed by the iconic Mumi Haiati, is dropping this fierce platform into Berlin Fashion Week’s lap with a serious mission: give national and international design disruptors a playground to showcase their edge.

The scene is set in a repurposed department store—a legit slice of post-modernist heaven—smack-dab in Berlin-Neukölln’s heartbeat. This place is about to become the canvas for a curated explosion of avant-garde runway shows and presentations.

When the Fashion Week heat kicks off this February 5th, ‘Intervention’ is the head-turner with its mashup of next-level installations, shop-till-you-drop pop-ups, and hypnotic showcases. It’s all about reviving that iconic space and turning it into an experiential fantasy land for the fashion fam.

The line-up? Think Berlin’s first taste of Gerrit Jacob’s genius at high noon, followed by the thunder of back2back (the brainchild of Marcelo Alcaide & Yolanda Zobel) at 2 in the afternoon.

And for the icing on the cake, Shayne Oliver rolls in as the special guest overlord. While his Anonymous Club runway show takes over the top floor at 8 PM, down below, his ‘MALL OF ANONYMOUS’ pop-up concept morphs the ground floor into an art-meets-fashion explosion, spiced up with a mix of audacious brands.

In a debut collab with Berlin Contemporary, pencil in LUEDER’s inaugural Berlin runway show on Wednesday, February 7th, at 9 PM—bringing the heat to a secret locale.

Kudos to the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises for backing ‘Intervention,’ carving out a spot on the Berlin Fashion Week agenda. If you’re chasing that BFW intel, hit the link HERE.
