The 14th edition of Ljubljana Fashion Week took place on Oct 2nd – Oct 6th in Centre Rog with over 30 Slovenian designers returning to the runway and the launch of the LJFW retail shop, providing the designers selected a featured platform for visibility and accessibility to a much wider audience. The opportunity for designers to have their garments sold in the retail shop represents a valuable step towards commercial success and recognition as LJFW remains committed to amplifying designers’ voices, nurturing their talent, and promoting their creations within the fashion ecosystem.
Highlights included sister duo M.Fiction in a haunting display of their own brand of retro-futurism in their signature alienesque metallic all-over catsuits, MC x Medle served up hyper 80s in masculine cuts and silhouettes whilst keeping the female form at the forefront. JKH Identity referenced Slovenian cultural heritage with prints and patterns rich in religious mythology, Tanja Vidic’s experimental and unconventional knitwear took centre stage transforming traditional knit garments generating complex shapes in bold, colourful, psychedelic ensembles and thirteen bespoke suits dazzled by Slovenian costume designer Milan Gačanovič and his new brand Gacho Couture.

Each individual is a valuable part of the mosaic of the world with a unique perspective and contribution, and Ljubljana Fashion Week is one of the events that embraces all forms of creativity with joy and pride.” said Melinda Rebrek, executive producer of LJFW.
