KALTBLUT Track Premiere: Asbjørn – Scandinavian Love

Berlin-based Asbjørn releases new synth-pop track ‘Scandinavian Love’! Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Asbjørn had a remarkably busy 2014. Under the album ‘Pseudo Visions’ he released eight singles with accompanying videos, toured Denmark, Germany and the UK before ending in the renowned Electronic Beats Festival in Leipzig in late November.

Praised by his own icon, Swedish Lykke Li, after naming his song ‘Brotherhood’ as one of her current favourites, Asbjørn kicked off 2015 at the Eurosonic festival in January and is preparing for a string of gigs during Spring. Showing no signs of slowing down, Asbjørn positions himself as the male counterpart to Nordic pop colleagues such as Lykke Li and Robyn.

“I wrote and produced Scandinavian Love in my living room in Berlin. Every time I got stuck I cranked up the stereo and danced my way to the production”, Asbjørn explains. “The song isabout being a teenager and having all these butterflies in your tummy when doing things for the first time. And daring to do them anyway even if you know you’re not necessarily grown up enough to take responsibility for others.”

On April 23 Asbjørn is back on the club circuit in Denmark with a brand new live set-up. The tour that includes the showcase festival SPOT on May 1 will continue into the summer season covering both Denmark and Germany.
