London DJ/producer Kiimi reveals their highly anticipated 2-track EP, Lose My Mind, released under HE.SHE.THEY. Records. This marks Kiimi’s debut on the label and features last month’s title track collaboration with I. JORDAN, alongside a brand new track titled ‘Taste’ and two club-ready edits. Following the launch of Kiimi’s Club Hunni Academy in April, this EP signifies a monumental year for the artist, solidifying their position as one of the UK’s most unique emerging talents.
The EP kicks off with ‘Taste’, a track co-produced with Berlin DJ/producer Spray. This rolling house anthem captures the sunlit energy of early summer, infusing it with the emotional intensity of newfound obsession. Characterised by deep basslines and shuffling drums, it skillfully balances euphoric moments with intimate undertones. Early support has flowed from industry heavyweights like Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, TSHA, Solomun, Calvin Harris, Roger Sanchez, and DJ BORING.
Kiimi reflects on the creative journey:
‘Taste’ came together during a session with Spray, whose music has been a huge inspiration to me over the past couple of years. The original demo was a lot more trance-leaning, but a few days later I was sunbathing in the park, opened my laptop, and started reworking it into a more house-driven version. I fell in love with the simplicity of it, and that became the direction for the track. Lyrically, ‘Taste’ is about the sheer bliss of being in a state of limerence.
The title track, ‘Lose My Mind’, featuring I. JORDAN, was crafted with “the sun-kissed shores of Ibiza in mind.” This euphoric, vocal-driven club anthem channels high-energy classic 90s house vibes, complete with rising pads, shimmering synths, and an infectious topline, all propelled by driving rhythms. ‘Lose My Mind’ captures the essence of losing oneself in the moment, serving as a celebration of the freedom and possibilities found on the dancefloor.
With the release of tracks like ”’do u feel it?’, remixes for Fractures and STRAWBRY, and recent performances at Field Day, Kiimi continues to navigate their unique path within the UK underground and beyond. 2025 saw them nominated for Beatport’s ‘Best New DJ’, invited to speak on both the HE.SHE.THEY. Trans Inclusion Charter panel at IMS and Toolroom Academy at fabric, while delivering standout performances at renowned venues like Solid Grooves at DC-10 and Ministry of Sound, as well as BBC Radio 1’s Dance Weekend in Ibiza. They also showcased a BBC Radio 1 Future Artists mix and joined Capital Dance for Pride Month programming.
As a classically trained musician, Kiimi blends emotional songwriting with experimental club sounds. They have gained the support of influential artists, including Jamie xx, TSHA, Mano Le Tough, HAAi, and The Blessed Madonna, receiving ongoing backing from BBC Radio 1 presenters such as Jaguar, Danny Howard, Jess Iszatt, and BBC Introducing. Named in Rinse FM’s Class of 2024 and highlighted by Mixmag and DJ Mag, Kiimi has also shared stages with acts like Jungle, Mount Kimbie, and Jasper Tygner, all while nurturing a community-focused space through both Club Hunni and Hunni Sound.
With more releases and live performances on the horizon, including an upcoming appearance at Lost Village, 2026 is set to be another monumental year for Kiimi.
