Save The Date Berlin! DANCÆ is an innovative platform dedicated to producing and curating collaborations between contemporary art forms and dance, prioritizing works that unfold outside the conventional theatre environment.
Körperfabrik (Body Factory) is a groundbreaking hybrid performance series that features a unique blend of live dance performances and a captivating art exhibition, both centred on the themes of the body and biopolitics. DANCÆ will showcase three choreographed pieces within the AUSGANG Studio’s immersive new media installation. Each dance performance is designed to interact dynamically with the installation, positioned above the performance area. Complementing this are fine art, photography, and video exhibitions showcasing works by esteemed artists such as Sven Marquardt, Ana Mendieta, Mohsen Othman, and Hannah Wilke.
The performances will feature renowned artists including Anthony Nakhle and Alvin Collantes, alongside a new ballet piece set to electronic music, performed by dancers from Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Körperfabrik invites both the performances and exhibition to examine the body as a site of self-expression, as well as a medium that is often subject to control and commodification. Hosted in Kantgaragen, a repurposed parking structure designed to regulate movement, the venue reflects how bodies are governed by societal norms. Through this exploration, Körperfabrik emphasizes moments of liberation and resilience, revealing the potential to transcend systemic pressures.

Anthony Nakhle is a multidisciplinary artist hailing from Beirut, Lebanon, and currently based in Berlin, Germany. His artistic vision is rooted in fostering interdisciplinary collaborations with creators across various mediums, including sound, sculpture, and stage design.
Alvin is a Filipino-Canadian dancer and choreographer whose work explores themes of identity, social constructs, and the emotional upheavals of assimilation. A member of KDV Dance Ensemble, Alvin has performed at the Sonar Festival Barcelona and collaborated on works like FLUIDS, presented at Tanz Im August.

Ballet Sur_real, the official ballet ensemble of DANCÆ, focuses on combining ballet with electronic music, incorporating tech and new media into their performances.
