L.R.D.N Vol. II (Las reinas del narco)

A KALTBLUT exclusive editorial. Photography by Salvador Hernández. “I´m a photographer from Mexico City. My work focuses on the construction of characters and fictions, by contrasting concepts, exaggerating and decontextualizing situations. By using ambiguity, mystery and sometimes humor to set a mood. The following is a collaboration with the designer Manuel Díaz for the second volume of his collection “Las reinas del narco” inspired by the drug trafficking culture in Mexico, as a reality that can´t be denied. In this shooting we try to portray some sort of pegan ritual using our characters as idols and the pieces of clothing as sculptures. Through this shooting we were looking to simulate the experience of confinement and torture, blurring the line between victim and offender.” Models are Pinocho signed at Bang Managment and Jeffrey Hathaway. Styling by Carlos Victimo. Make up and hair by Mónica Marquet.
