LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi Spring/Summer 2024

Welcome to LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi’s Spring/Summer 24 collection presented during Paris Fashion Week – an ode to the loss and grief portrayed in Christopher Isherwood’s “A Single Man,” a book that has seemingly had a profound impact on the designer’s creativity.

Through his SS24 collection, LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi challenges the man-made stringent societal norms with the overpowering force of repressed emotions. The collection showcases the 60s Mod-inspired jackets with sharp shoulders, waist-strangled bodysuits, and singlets in sustainable fabrics of micro modal and lyocell, blending comfort with style, as part of the designer’s universe.

To commemorate his love for leather, the designer remained faithful to his collaboration with ECCO LEATHER, producing the “CRASHIER” express leather. The smooth biker Nappa leather has a shine and a delicate grain on a wax body, preserved to maintain its shape, reminding one of the violent shocks from the literature.

The twisted and shocked effect extends to sculptural pieces made from the same material and silver jacquard pieces, resembling crumpled sheet metal, jumpers, and shirts with twisted designs depicting emotions that can turn our hearts. The collection displays a variety of colours affected by George’s journey, from canary yellow to phosphor blue, to black, white, and espresso brown.

Amid all this tragedy, sensuality and representation of inclusivity flourish on the catwalk, with openings on tops, shirts, and jumpers, revealing the underwear. This is not a gender issue but an act of strength that LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi wants to promote, as well as the inclusivity and diversity of male bodies; floral accessories represent mourning and the beauty of ephemeral and the renewal of life.

It is LGN Louis Gabriel Nouchi’s heartwrenching tale of loss, infused with diverse fashion styles, fabrics, and colours, reflecting the journey of a man challenged by societal norms and the warmth of happiness.
