“We shot these photos on December 31st in Kyiv (Ukraine). At this time, Russian missiles were falling just one kilometer from our studio. The main subject of our shooting is our life during the war. The model is wearing clothes turned inside out like war turned inside out our lives. The lamp is a symbol of our blackouts (Russia leaves Ukrainian cities without electricity), but also a symbol of our hope for light. In the end, the model is reborn from the water like the first life on the earth.”
