“Elsewhere, all the way from Sydney we have Estée Louder – with a name like that, they were instantly adopted by our Lunchbox Candy family. Needless to say, their DJ skills are top notch too as they run CONTROL (club night and podcast series) – ‘creating a space to suspend the reality of patriarchal constraints, encouraging the exorcism of trapped energy and emotion’ Newcomers Katerinha and NJERIwill inaugurate The Ket Gala in the garden starting at 16:00h. Dress up, look sharp and come early to catch their energetic blend of afro-house, garage, breaks, house and eclectic club sounds from the global South – these 2 will have you bouncing within the first hour.
Our resident and co-founder Adam Munnings will open our main dancefloor indoors at 22:00 – will their alter ego Ja Mum make an appearance? We’ll have to wait and see. One thing’s for sure though – they will be packing in a punch, opening our main space and setting up the mood for the night to unfold. Following Adam, we have another co-founder and resident DJ, Elninodiablo who along with their inner child sista, Sudha Kheterpal will deliver their blend of high-octane sounds with live percussion to uplift you in euphoric highs and have you screaming for more. Between them, these 2 have 50 years of experience rocking dancefloors around the world and still looking like children, what’s their secret?
Continuing the festivities – we are super excited to present Kirill Shapavalov taking on the baton in the DJ booth at 6am. Their inimitable style oozing sexual, carnal passion and performing with elegance and panache already had us mesmerized and wanting for more. Get ready to rip your clothes off.
Last but not least our larger-than-life fierce door-whore Mark Gilleran, would have finished their duties on the door and transformed into their alter ego, DJ Petite at 9am to close The Ket Gala in true Lunchbox Candy style – with a wonderfully deranged, upbeat, turbo energised set to wave goodbye to the ones last standing.
