The man, slave to reproduce the canons that he himself has preset, decides to destabilize the codes of an ancient system: What if the roles are reversed? What if there are no more predetermined patterns? What if you conceived the essence of things rather than their form? What do you want? And especially who are you?

I’m a man,
I’m a woman I am heaven,
I am earth I’m all,
I’m nothing I am the smile of a child,
I am her mother who
holds his hand and
teaches him to love,
are a boundless world,
in this infinite universe.

Prologue:
They’ll paint your dreams black,
will destroy your body and
like a sorrowful Madonna,
will crown your face with tears,
clothing your soul with fear,
because you’re “different”,
go beyond all things.
Because you can’t walk, you fly.
“Have the courage to be yourself”:
so he whispered like a mother,
took me by the hand and taught
to love me,
to love every world
because different from ours,
different as well as similar;
boundless as it is small;
as strong as fragile and
unique as the heart pure of a mother.

“Mother is a project about me and all those people who struggle every day to be accepted by others as human beings, as unique beings, as people. This story is the story of me and many people discriminated against for sexual orientation, gender, nationality, religion, physical appearance, the way of dressing and much more.

With this concept I want to give back the true meaning of person, family and love that I synthesized with the word ‘mother’: the maternal figure is not only that of those who create you biologically speaking, but of one or one of those who grow up. Family, people and love, should not be preset things, as “mass-produced”, but are essences that go beyond their own matter.

For centuries and still today the discrimination due to the fear of what is “different”, have raised walls, the same ones that collapse thanks to subversive actions and revenge by those who no longer accept to submit to the stereotyped social norms; The rubble of these collapsed walls is a symbol of freedom but at the same time they have caused many wounds and many victims. Today I want to dedicate this project, my attention, to all those who fought for their rights before me, for having brought me here today, aware and free to express my being. I want to be able to break down those walls of hate and remind everyone that we are made of love before we are even “social animals”

“My name is Alessandro Chelazzi, I am 24 years old and I live in Italy, in Naples. “Since I was a child I have always pushed my creativity to create things” I have always been attracted by art, fashion, cinema, music. If I had to give a definition of me is “chameleon”, I love change and especially experience from different points of view the fashion: designing, experiment, draw, manually create the garments, the search for detail, match garments and situations, direct the sets and much more. I believe that fashion is a message, a kind of indelible sign that defines a single moment of life. My motto is, “Don’t wait for your dreams, live them.”
