MANIFEST:IO – The Symposium for New Media & Electronic Art

MANIFEST:IO swings back onto Berlin’s stage for its spectacular second act on Feb 24 – 25. Converging within the evocative walls of the Alte Münze, this symposium is a siren call for the aesthetically adventurous, crafting an environment ripe with critical discourses and experimental art practices.

Prepare to be whisked away into a weekend where artistic intellects collide: engaging talks by day, and sensory-immersive showcases by dusk, spanning the diverse realms of AI, VR, and AR to the enigmatic territories of neuroscience and sound art. Artists and professionals converge to challenge conventions, their canvases are reality itself, augmented and redefined.

This year’s narrative at MANIFEST:IO is an odyssey through the pulsating veins of contemporary concerns: the politics of the body and space, the whispers and roars of borders, narratives from exiled souls, the dance of gender and the shadows cast by censorship’s veil. Colonial footprints are examined while surveillance and AI ethics are scrutinised with an inclusive lens.

“From 11 am to 3 pm, expect a symphony of thought in our Talk series, and until 9 pm, a labyrinth of innovative installations—all itching for interaction. As the clock winds tonight, from 9 pm till the witching hour of midnight, we give you our international artists, poised for electrifying performances on the main stage.

Reserve a slice of this futuristic endeavour. Tickets tailor-made for discovery start at a mere 5 EUR—a token for a treasure trove of experiences. Day and weekend passes are yours the choose from, all just a click away on Eventbrite.”

Accessibility is not an afterthought; it’s our manifesto. This event welcomes all, barrier-free and wheelchair friendly.

TimeLab orchestrates this convergence of minds and mediums with backing from the SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences—all crafted for those who dare to dabble in the radically beautiful.
