Allow us to introduce the visionary behind this groundbreaking project – Yuriy Dvizhon. Born in Ternopil in 1993, Yuriy’s passion for visual storytelling propelled him to obtain a BA in film and television arts from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts in 2015. Starting his career as an assistant director on a celebrated documentary series that delved into the lives of Ukrainian and international celebrities, Yuriy later ventured into the world of music videos, leaving an indelible mark for more than five years.

In 2018 and 2019, he fearlessly took the reins as both the writer and director of the thought-provoking LGBTQ-themed television documentaries, “Don’t Hide Your Eyes 1 & 2.” Yuriy’s invaluable contribution to Ukrainian society was officially recognized in 2019 when he was honored with the prestigious Top 30 Under 30 Award. Continuing to push boundaries, in 2021, Yuriy embarked on an exciting journey, directing films for the renowned Ukrainian fashion brand FROLOV.

The following year witnessed the soaring success of his powerful social-awareness campaign video, titled “Pride Is Not Available In Your Region,” which garnered acclaim and admiration at numerous LGBTIQ+ film festivals worldwide. Presently, Yuriy is channelling his extraordinary talent into an ambitious six-episode drama series that draws inspiration from this very project. Keep an eye out for this rising star and his extraordinary creations.
