Die Antwoord, Phoenix, Glass Animals, and dozens of other artists came together for Melt Festival’s 20th birthday and made it an experience either no one will forget, or no body can clearly remember. Between the five festival stages, it was a challenge to find time during the day where there was no music playing. Even in the early hours of the morning when the feelings of drowsiness started to overcome and the voice inside my head said “go to your tent and get a few hours of sleep,” the beats coming from the Sleepless stage acted as an immediate adrenaline shot and kept us going a few more hours (or for some brave souls, all weekend long).
