Mixtape: DC Noises

Rising to the spotlight in our featured weekly mixtape, DC Noises, hailing from Antwerp, stands as a formidable force in the thrumming heart of its nightlife scene. As both a DJ extraordinaire and visionary event creator, he’s indelibly shaped the musical tapestry of Antwerp. It was amidst his father’s treasured vinyls that DC Noises unearthed his early fervor for music. Infused with the zest of UK Garage, Speed Garage, Breakbeat, and an array of British influences, he’s forged a unique auditory flair that distinguishes his craft.

With this mix, I tried to portray a representation of myself. An emotional guy who also likes the heavier stuff. I build up from melancholic garage to hardcore to solid speed garage. So expect a trip from quiet emotional electronica to solid speed garage. My record choice is made on the best tracks I can currently find in my Itunes library and in the record closet. From old to new, from 2 step to breakbeat to 4×4. Inspired by artists such as Breaka, Bicep, Silva Bumpa, Interplanetary Criminal, Coco Bryce and more.

At the helm of ‘Freed,’ DC Noises is the mastermind orchestrating fervently subscribed events that echo the British sound’s magnetic pull for four consecutive years. His sharp ear for selecting transcends the ordinary, revealing rare musical jewels and adeptly surfing the waves of upcoming trends. Having held his own alongside esteemed acts such as Girls Don’t Sync, Interplanetary Criminal, Bakey, Conducta, Salute, MassMedium, Roska, Mella Dee, he has thoroughly established his prowess, even warming the stage for Fred Again.. at Brussels’ Paleis 12.
