Ryder, the 20-year-old British producer, joins our mixtape series after the release of his uplifting single “I Been,” featuring Daniella Wizard, from his anticipated debut EP. Ryder embodies the internet’s power, gaining attention with his #skeptacore project that led to an EP created in just 48 hours with grime legend Skepta. Influenced by J Dilla, Labi Siffre, Moby, and Kanye, his sound stretches beyond traditional beats. After moving to London in 2022, he gained traction by creatively reimagining Skepta’s bars over eclectic production, amassing millions of views on TikTok and sparking interest from music labels.
His collaboration with Skepta resulted in the EP “48 Hours,” which includes tracks with rising star Dré Six and showcases his musical flair, racking up over 50 million Spotify streams. With features in Complex, Mixmag, NME, and airplay on BBC 1Xtra, Ryder is poised for a breakout in 2025, embodying youth, boldness, and innovation.
