“Modern Cowboy tells the story of a queer cowboy in London and follows him through ordinary rituals: work, errands, and going out. Western codes are pushed through softer, more intimate styling and pastel backdrops, where masculinity and femininity sit in the same outfit rather than opposing each other. The story lives in that ambiguity: the cowboy remains a symbol of traditional masculinity, but its meaning shifts depending on context – and on who’s looking.”
