#MondayMood Bliss Nova – ‘Say It’

Bliss Nova is a synth-pop two-piece from Toledo, OH, consisting of brothers Daniel and Joel Trzcinski. Their debut EP Do You Feel, released in 2015, drew comparisons to the likes of Washed Out, Neon Indian and Toro y Moi. The latest offering is Say It / Now, a split-single executing bigger, bolder sounds and exploring new sonic territory.

“Say It” reveals a darker, sexier side to their ‘80s synth-pop sensibilities, going so far as to evoke electronica-infused experimental grooves à la Radiohead. “Now” showcases slick, dynamic dance pop with psychedelic stylings. This project was recorded with longtime collaborator/friend Brennan Willis (producer on previous 2 EPs) at his studio, Ohio Recording Company; the tracks were mastered by indie wizard TW Walsh (Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, Cold War Kids, David Bazan). An LP is in the works for 2018.
