#TheShowMustBePaused #BlackLivesMatter - Due to recent events please join us as we take an urgent step of action to provoke accountability and change. As gatekeepers of the culture, it is our responsibility to not only come together to celebrate the wins, but also hold each other up during a loss. Join us on Tuesday 2nd June as a day to disconnect from work and reconnect with our community.
Priya Ragu is back with the moving video for “Lighthouse”. Shot in Mumbai, India and together with Kanika’s No Borders Shop, social activist “Mandovi”, Djane Paloma, and fashion designer Chandni Sareen, Priya assembled her avengers team to “showcase our brown community in its organic colours.” Directed by her brother Japhna Gold, alongside videographer Rhony Sutriesno, the clip is a vibrant celebration of life, community, and perseverance as Priya repeats “all of dem lights keep on”.
“Lighthouse speaks about your inner light that you carry within you. That young curious soul, forever seeking freedom and happiness…free from all boundaries and restrictions…free from judgment and social pressure. Lighthouse speaks about that inner voice that tells you: go! In a fast-paced world where numbers and statistics define us, it is very important to spread these positive vibrations. The whole journey of shooting a video soon changed into a calling or a bigger purpose than just music. We want to get more in touch with our background and work with talented people from our community and change the perspective art, culture & music.”
