Neighborhood x Eastpak – Military inspired streetwear staples

#Want – Eastpak is joining forces with NEIGHBORHOOD for a set of functional carryalls inspired by militaria and motorcycles. The duo have conceived a quartet of items informed by NEIGHBORHOOD designer Shinsuke Takizawa with each piece assuredly understated and sturdy.

All four bags are offered in black or olive shades, drawing from Eastpak’s heritage and NEIGHBORHOOD’s preferred points of inspiration. The “NBHD Padded” pack is a twist on Eastpak’s familiar Padded Pak’r backpack, transforming the staple with contrasting co-branded tape, embroidered “The Filth and the Fury” verbiage and tonal detailing. Similarly, the “NBHD Sling” remixes Eastpak’s Talky waist bag, utilizing the same sleek nylon shell and adjustable straps to elevate the approachable silhouette.

The Filth and the Fury

NBHD PADDED

The classic Padded Pak’r is reinvented in true Neighborhood style, featuring a monochrome handle, plastic hardware, adjustable straps and trims. The front pocket is marked with an all-black co-branded logo. Contrasting co-branded taping stands out in yellow on the black design, and black on the olive version. Neighborhood’s “The Filth and the Fury” slogan brands the spacious main compartment that contains a padded laptop sleeve.

NBHD SLING

An oversized bum bag inspired by Eastpak’s Talky bum bag. With three zip-fastening pockets, the lightweight NBHD Sling is a smart, street-ready accessory. Co-branded taping and an embroidered Neighborhood slogan contrast the monochrome design and details. The matching waist belt and buckle can be adjusted to suit any style.

NBHD VEST BAG

The NBHD Vest captures the collection’s military-inspired streetwear aesthetic, featuring two zip-fastening front compartments and two Velcro back pockets. A reflective stripe and co-branded taping contrast the monochrome design. The NBHD Vest fastens at the sides with camouflaged plastic quick-release buckles.

NBHD THE ONE

An industrial reinvention of The One shoulder bag makes a statement with matching clips and zips. A monochrome co-branded logo features on the zip- fastening front pocket, with “The Filth and the Fury” marking the back pocket. The shoulder strap can be adjusted with a matching plastic buckle.

Neigbhorhood

Having been a lifelong fan of motorcycles and related countercultures, Takizawa Shinsuke founded NEIGHBORHOOD in 1994. The brand is based on the concept of “reinterpreting motorcycle, military, outdoor, and Native American elements and incorporating them into basic clothing, and presenting them as a lifestyle.” This concept has been a constant theme throughout the seasons, and is reflected in all of NEIGHBORHOOD’s products and projects. NEIGHBORHOOD is known for their distressed denim products which are updated each season, leather jackets that are reminiscent of biker culture, as well as a wide array of accessories including eyewear, home decor, and bike related goods. Being a lifestyle brand, NEIGHBORHOOD scaled down their products to 1/3 of the normal size for their kids line, “NEIGHBORHOOD ONE THIRD”.

NEIGHBORHOOD has been expanding its creative output by collaborating with numerous Japanese and global brands, and also producing merchandise in collaboration with various films.
